What happens when a young, handsome executive falls in love with a “plus-sized” woman? Will their relationship be able to endure the societal pressures that surround them? Will they be able to overcome their own fears and limitations in the name of true love? Neil LaBute, one of America’s foremost playwrights, uses this sharply drawn play not only to critique our slavish adherence to Hollywood ideals of beauty, but also to boldly question our ability to change what we dislike within ourselves.
