Lauri McNown (Board President) came to CU as an undergraduate and is still in Boulder decades later. Along the way she completed a PhD in Political Science and is now retired from teaching in that department. Her field of study and teaching was the American Presidency. She and her husband, Robert (now retired Professor of Economics), have taken full advantage of academic sabbaticals and leaves. They have lived and taught in Kathmandu, Beijing, Sydney, Hanoi and Penang, Malaysia as well as teaching on three voyages of Semester at Sea. Lauri received a Fulbright award to teach at INTI College in Penang. She is happy to now turn her attention to supporting BETC and great theater in Boulder.
