She is currently working on two solo plays; the first is a piece inspired by her son’s birth in 2022, and includes interviews with over twenty women about their experiences giving birth. Amalia’s second solo play in development, Rendezvous Way, has been shared at the Barrow Group Artist Residency and Barn Arts Collective. Most recently Amalia was seen onstage at the Denver Center Studio Loft in The Hours of Anne, a one-woman show about the life of Anne Boleyn. She has also recently performed at the Aurora Fox Arts Center and in the Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s educational touring company. Amalia has conducted research, written curriculum, and performed with NYU’s Verbatim Performance Lab, and has also trained with Fiasco Theater Company and the Barrow Group. Amalia is a certified pre/post natal fitness coach, and currently in the process of becoming a certified childbirth educator.
