Andrea Gelfuso (Board Member) is a Natural Resources attorney who currently teaches Wind Law and Energy Law. Andrea has served on multiple Boards, including the Jefferson County Cultural Commission, and as the Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Lakewood Advisory Commission. She is also an author of My Modena: A Year of Fear, Laughter, and Exhilaration In Italy, and a children’s book, Zuri the Zebra and the Seasons of Giving.
Andrea has also twice served as a judge for the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop Writers in Residence competition, and did standup at the Erma Workshop in front of an audience of 200, including SNL’s Laraine Newman. Andrea was first introduced to the power of theatre when, reeling from the loss of her 40-year-old cousin, she attended weekly performances of Jessica Robblee’s Trunks with her two kids. Andrea is back from a year in Malta, and the University of Cambridge in the UK, and is excited to support BETC.
