“What is an actor’s job but to entertain, enlighten, provoke, encourage one to walk in another’s shoes, and to emotionally engage an AUDIENCE. I have been the essential audience without which no play would succeed.”
Nicky Wolman (Board Member) was introduced to theater in the playgrounds in Madison, Wisconsin. In college, she majored in Special Education and counseling. In a college class on “Children’s Theater,” she acted in “A Midsummers Night’s Dream for 4th graders” – her first and last appearance on stage.
Currently, Nicky is an active actor/director in a friendship-based play-reading group. She and her spouse often attend theater locally, and occasionally fold plays into their travels. Nicky has treasured the experience she’s had watching BETC plays and is thrilled to be on the Board.
