“Love Letters”
No one forgets their first love. A.R. Gurney’s award-winning Broadway play mines the love letters exchanged between two friends to track their decades-long infatuation and eventual love for one another. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Love Letters is a funny, poignant, profound exploration of young love that lasts a lifetime, as seen through letters written over nearly a half century. BETC Ensemble members Billie McBride and Jim Hunt will perform this beautiful and touching staged reading at the Gordon Gamm Theater on February 14th for one day only. The play is directed by BETC Ensemble member and playwright Josh Hartwell. All proceeds will go toward BETC’s education community outreach initiatives.February 14, 2024

“The Importance of Being Earnest” (A Staged Reading)
As a thank you to our wonderful Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company community, and all those donors who gave during Colorado Gives Day, BETC offers four staged readings of Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy The Importance of Being Earnest (adapted by Branden Smith) — A deliciously British lampooning of Victorian sensibilities in which two bachelors create alter egos to escape their tiresome lives but find themselves struggling to keep up with the women they adore and the stories they’ve concocted.January 7 & 10, 2024
