Lisa Wagner Erickson (Writers Group) is a playwright, theatre artist, and educator based in Boulder and Longmont, Colorado, whose plays include The Mrs. Wheatland Pageant, A Shiny Quest, The Chicken Flies at Night, and Step On Me. Her work has been developed and presented at Manhattan Theatre Source, Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Stickball Productions, No Strings Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, And Toto too, Edge Theatre, and Theater 29, among others. A True West Award winner, she has also been a finalist for the Gary Garrison Award for Ten-Minute Plays, a regional finalist for the KCACTF 10-Minute Play Award, a PlayPenn semi-finalist, and a semi-finalist for Landing Theatre’s New American Voices. She is the founder of Cypherbird Projects (formerly the Lulubird Project), the former owner and creative director of Theater 29, and a member of the Dramatists Guild. She has been a guest artist at the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive and holds an MFA in Creative Writing for Stage and Screen from Lesley University.
